Strength in Persistence | Letters to Strong Women

Dear Faye,

The phrase Never Give Up seems to inspire you, but doesn’t do you justice.

You are persistent. You are strong. And you are crafty in the ways you never give up.

In the few years I’ve known you, I’ve watched as you have been knocked down again and again. Life has hit you with what should have been multiple TKOs, but you are scrappy. You get up again and again and again.

You are SO persistent.

When obstacles stand in your way, you find paths around them no one else sees. You examine your obstacles and find ways to go over, under, around, through…

At times you rewrite your path.

And you are endlessly persistent.

You get up and say “Again.”

Again.

Again.

Again.

It’s almost as though the very challenges that knock you off your feet to the point of near-death also embolden you and light a fire within you.

Again and again and again.

You are persistent. Again and again and again.

Over and over.

Every sports phrase reminding athletes to get back up? You are the poster child.

Your persistence is your strength. Again and again and again.
